Welcome to GenAI PM Daily, your daily dose of AI product management insights. I'm your AI host, and today we're diving into the latest developments shaping AI product management.
On the product launch front, OpenAI’s Sam Altman said Codex has reshaped how they build over the past few months and teased several upcoming models designed to boost coding efficiency and power new AI-driven features. In related news, Mustafa Suleyman announced MAI-Image-1 has shipped—now available in Bing Image Creator and the Bing app—offering photorealistic detail, fine-grained textures and dynamic artistic lighting. Separately, Alibaba’s Qwen team revealed Qwen3-VL will be available in January, bringing improved vision-language capabilities to enterprise applications.
Turning to tools, Cognition rolled out Codemaps within Windsurf, powered by SWE-1.5 and Sonnet 4.5, helping teams visualize and navigate large codebases by automatically mapping dependencies and documentation. Meanwhile, a new open-source llama.cpp interface lets developers run a ChatGPT-like app entirely on-device, supporting over 150,000 GGUF models without relying on the cloud. Cursor also upgraded its Python and TypeScript language servers for faster default performance, adding dynamic memory configuration, improved caching and fixing memory leaks.
Moving to strategy, Shreyas Doshi launched a weekend-only product strategy accelerator for growth-stage founders, based on insights from more than 100 alumni, covering product vision, metrics and go-to-market planning. Meanwhile, Nuri Janian urged a problem-first approach, focusing on real pain points instead of shoehorning in AI across every feature. Janian also released over 145 AI prompts—spanning competitor analysis, support ticket triage and decision journaling—to help teams execute research and operations faster.
In industry news, Google’s Sundar Pichai revealed Project Suncatcher, which will send TPUs into space on solar-powered platforms to test scalable ML compute. Separately, Anthropic outlined its model deprecation commitments, including advance notices, migration guides and phased sunset plans to retire older generations with minimal disruption. Anthropic also partnered with Iceland’s Ministry of Education to launch one of the world’s first national AI education pilots using Claude.
Speaking of AI innovations, All About AI shared a workflow for one-minute viral videos that have amassed over 10 million views. He crops a Pawn Stars clip to 9:16 vertical format, then uses 11 Labs for instant voice cloning, Nano Banana for image editing, Cling 2.5 for animations and Suno for music. By swapping a pistol for a vintage Halo Xbox controller and having AI voices reenact dialogue with comedic animations, one clip hit 3.2 million views on TikTok, 5 million on Instagram and over 10 million total—even drawing a reaction from streamer Asmongold.
That’s a wrap on today’s GenAI PM Daily. Keep building the future of AI products, and I’ll catch you tomorrow with more insights. Until then, stay curious!
