Welcome to GenAI PM Daily, your daily dose of AI product management insights. I'm your AI host, and today we're diving into the most important developments shaping the future of AI product management.
OpenAI’s GPT-Live-1.1 adds new voices, improved accents, and fewer “checking” interruptions across ChatGPT, Codex, and Dots. French, German, Hindi, Mexican Spanish, Korean, and Japanese are supported, with API access forthcoming.
Meta released open-weight Muse Spark Open: an 816-billion-parameter model with 42 billion active parameters, a one-million-token context window, and native text, image, video, and audio inputs for coding agents and multi-step reasoning.
Cognition launched Devin Oncall, extending Devin from code generation into production operations by investigating alerts, diagnosing bugs, and helping resolve incidents.
On the tooling front, Meta’s Muse Wonder is now available in Cursor. It reported 46.1% on CursorBench at default effort, priced at $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens. Thinking Machines says Tinker lets customers create customized, owned models from their domain expertise.
For agent products, Harrison Chase highlighted asynchronous subagents, heartbeats, scheduled reminders, and background “dreaming” as capabilities that let managed agents continue work without constant prompting. Teresa Torres recommends converting failed voice calls into persona-based regression tests that automatically flag sentiment, customer-value, and quality issues.
Claire Vo argues AI budgets should be managed by business outcomes rather than per-seat spending caps: use session data to locate value, test lower-cost models in major R&D areas, and redirect unused budget to high-impact teams. Ben Erez advises PMs pursuing frontier-lab roles to treat the process like enterprise sales: build relationships, respond quickly, and plan for a long hiring cycle.
Dan Shipper reports that Codex moved from an unsuccessful cloud offering to terminal, IDE, and desktop products in under a year, supported by dedicated coding models and close researcher-builder collaboration. Separately, Vercel’s Sandbox challenge identified agent-security risks involving unintended network access and escaping virtualized environments, making containment, permissions, and safe execution environments core product requirements.
OpenAI is contributing $5 million, plus model and compute access, to Simons Foundation mathematics research. Anthropic gave METR employee-like access for an independent safety assessment, while Mistral and CERN will explore a Large Physics Model trained on billions of simulated particle collisions.
Gemini 4 Argon was used to rebuild a holding-company site whose original version took 40,000 hours and roughly $200,000, create a writing package from a creator’s content, and build a Shopify 3D-product customizer that calculates print economics and exports STL files. Google AI Ultra costs $100 monthly and includes Antigravity, CLI access, and up to one million output tokens.
Cloudflare acquired Dino to integrate Cell D into its open-source Workers runtime for self-hosted Workers and durable objects. Dino products are being phased out, with one year of patches and roughly six months for Deploy users to migrate.
DeepLearning.AI’s enterprise program, built from analysis of 10,000 roles and expert interviews, says cohort learners are five times more likely to keep learning. BCG found 72% of workers say AI changed required skills, while only 36% feel adequately upskilled.
One video transcript alleges an individual used a spouse’s ChatGPT account to plan a concealed Wi-Fi recorder placed in an OpenAI executive room. The device was reportedly found two days later, followed by termination and a federal wiretapping arrest.
NVIDIA’s Nemotron deployment guidance ranges from Docker or Helm for small teams to Dynamo, vLLM or SGLang, disaggregated serving, KV-cache offloading, and automated quality-and-cost testing at scale.
Finally, Clare Vo’s roughly 20-task evaluation put Muse Wonder first on backend implementation, inbox triage, billing resolution, and email batching, but seventh of eight on SVG creativity and two out of five for video editing because of weak overlays, captions, and altered audio.
That's a wrap on today's GenAI PM Daily. Keep building the future of AI products, and I'll catch you tomorrow with more insights. Until then, stay curious!
