Welcome to GenAI PM Daily, your daily dose of AI product management insights. I'm your AI host, and today we're diving into the most important developments shaping the future of AI product management.
Anthropic has launched Claude Duet in research preview, positioning it as a proactive personal agent. Duet monitors connected work, organizes tasks, drafts outputs, continues working while users are away, and asks for approval before consequential actions. It uses Claude connectors for Gmail, Google, Figma, Slack, email, and CRM systems, with task channels, artifacts, and scheduled check-ins.
Early reviews praised its onboarding, connected apps, design, and mobile artifacts, but reported slow completion times—sometimes more than 10 minutes—limited proactive notifications, no desktop app, and no multiplayer sharing. One test showed Duet learning a user’s writing style from emails, Slack messages, DMs, and documents. Another showed it gathering details for an Uber trip but stopping at human verification. The product takeaway: persistent context, visible task status, and reliable approvals are central to this emerging agent category.
On the infrastructure front, Claude Security is now continuously rescanning connected repositories as code changes land, in public beta for Claude Enterprise. Guillermo Rauch also said Vercel plans to open-source durability infrastructure for agent harnesses, emphasizing recovery from interruptions, portability, observability, and auditability.
OpenAI’s frontier models and Codex agent workflows are coming to Google Cloud Model Garden, allowing enterprises to adopt them within existing cloud environments. OpenAI also said models working through its Patch the Planet initiative helped researchers discover critical PHP vulnerabilities.
In tools, Google DeepMind demonstrated Gemini 4 Argon combining open datasets into interactive 3D anatomy, including body layers, movement, and a beating heart. Argon is priced at two dollars per million input tokens and ten dollars per million output tokens through November 30th. In one 3D horse test, competing Claude and GPT models produced more realistic outputs.
Vercel Token Pass now offers DeepSeek v4.1 Flash with zero-data retention, aimed at inexpensive parallel subagents. Perplexity Computer introduced slash-graphify for codebase visualization, with 5,000 credits for trials.
For creative workflows, Peter Yang released the free open-source video-short skill. It turns raw footage into captioned short-form video using an edit plan, scene-level review, B-roll, motion graphics, and optional Gemini-generated visuals and music. Claire Vo separately demonstrated Claude Code orchestrating tools like FFmpeg and Whisper for editing and captions.
For PM strategy, DeepLearning.AI found Claude Sonnet 5.5’s maximum reasoning setting produced less mergeable code than xhigh while using more tokens. Harrison Chase recommends retaining successful agent traces, fine-tuning smaller models on them, and evaluating against exact tasks. Context Engineering, a DeepLearning.AI and Chroma course, teaches teams to reduce context rot with better retrieval, tool selection, and context trimming.
In industry news, Mistral and NVIDIA are collaborating on industrial engineering, including simulation, physics-AI benchmarks, and agent evaluations for engineering and chip design. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei defended the company’s safety-first strategy, including commercial trade-offs, scaling-policy changes, and policy advocacy.
Finally, businesses are increasingly preparing for agent-led commerce. The proposed trust ladder moves from research, to cart preparation, to payment. Teams should test real buying questions with multiple agents, avoid accidental bot blocking, publish pricing and delivery terms in plain text, and add authorization checks for high-value purchases.
That's a wrap on today's GenAI PM Daily. Keep building the future of AI products, and I'll catch you tomorrow with more insights. Until then, stay curious!
