Overview

OpenTelemetry (often shortened to OTel) is an open observability standard used to collect and export traces, metrics, and logs from software systems. In AI product contexts, it provides a common way to instrument applications, agents, tools, and infrastructure so teams can monitor behavior, audit actions, and diagnose failures across complex workflows.
